at Labor of Love Birth Center

Our childbirth classes are an essential part of the birth center experience. Knowledge is power and we take pride in offering a variety of classes to help you prepare for your birth experience. Our classes are designed to provide you and your support partner with a comprehensive understanding of the stages and hormones involved in labor, enabling you to approach your childbirth and parenting journey with courage and confidence. Labor of Love clients are required to take a childbirth education class at the birth center or present a certificate of completion or a note from an instructor to demonstrate that you have completed a comprehensive childbirth education course.

Our classes, workshops, and events are open to all families in our community. All are welcome here!

Labor of Love Childbirth Education Class

This class is an approachable way to have the basics of birth and coping reviewed in a one-day, or two-day format. We’ll have discussions, share information in visual and written formats, and have hands-on practice for comfort measures.

Class is 5 hours of information. The one-day class will break for a 45 minute lunch.

HypnoBirthing® (The Mongan Method) 5-week Class Series

HypnoBirthing® classes are a 5-week in person series offered on Thursday evenings at Labor of Love Birth Center. Classes are led by Candice Enriquez of Hypnotherapy Mind, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Certified Doula.

HypnoBirthing® is an educational journey encompassing focused breathing, relaxation, visualization, and meditative practices which prepare you to birth confidently. Through a simple program of self-hypnosis and education, you’ll learn to let go of fear-driven narratives and birthing myths. Instead, you’ll learn to embrace trust in your body’s innate ability to bring your baby into the world. This five week series will help you tap into your natural birth instincts and achieve deep, tension-free relaxation to allow the body’s natural endorphins and oxytocin to replace stress hormones. If you’re seeking a class that aligns mind and body, this might be the class for you!

Registration is $440 for two people and includes all class materials and audio tracks. To learn more about HypnoBirthing® visit Candice’s website.

Next scheduled 5-week class series:

Thursdays—December 4th, 11th, 18th, and January 8th and 15th
