get to know us

We are a team of Midwives, Midwife Assistants, Office Staff & Students who complement each other in providing seamless, holistic care to all our families.

Your first contact will be with Gwynneth (Office Manager) and Maria/Debbie (front office staff). They will explain our services to you and help you understand your insurance coverage or to choose a self pay plan. The girls will be there throughout your pregnancy to schedule your appointments & classes and to discuss any financial aspects that may arise.

One of our Midwife Assistants, (Debbie, Melissa, Alicia, Jenn, Ellie, Lilly & Rikki), will be there to greet you at each appointment. They will take your blood pressure, pulse, weight and do a urinalysis. They will draw your blood for routine screening and optional labs as necessary, and briefly discuss common discomforts with you so that the midwife may be alerted to any issues you may have.

A midwife assistant will also be in attendance towards the end of your labor. Your midwife will call her for support as birth becomes close. She will assist the midwife at birth and then care for you and your baby in the immediate postpartum period. The midwife assistant will stay with you at the birth center for as long as you need until you are ready to take your new baby home.

Our student midwives, will be in attendance according to your wishes. You will be given the opportunity to meet with them and become familiar with them during the course of your pregnancy. We do not have more than two students at a time so there is plenty of time to build a relationship with each student. It is entirely your choice as to how much input a student has in your care, be that none, just observation or some hands on care. Your midwife will discuss this with you what level of student care you are comfortable with.

Your midwives, Cori, Courtney, Michelle & senior student Devin, will spend as much time with you as you need at each appointment to ensure that all your needs/issues have been addressed and resolved. This personal care allows for you and your family to build strong and trusting relationships with each midwife so that you are comfortable with whomever it may be that is on call when your labor begins.

Between us, we provide call cover 24/7, meaning that someone is available to you whatever the time of day or night, at weekends and on holidays, should any issues arise.

We remain open during Covid-19. Please give us a call if you have any concerns.
